Dick Tracy was another favorite character of the 8-pagers, Oddly enough he wasn't the heroic conqueror of women, but rather a figure of abuse, often captured by licentious females (see above) bent on forcing him to submit to their lewd demands, which he seemed to have no trouble doing. I took off on this idea in a number of pieces in which poor Tracy is either threatened with a pistol-packing damsel or, worse, socked in the jaw. The big arm in the above work is taken from a painting by Bruce Adams, a painter who, despite his dedication to realism, often exaggerates female anatomy.
